While reviewing Andrea's history chapter today about the era of shoguns and samurais in Japan, I asked her, "What is a feudal society?," expecting an answer that explained the relationship between classes of people.
Hesitating only a moment, Andrea replied, "A society where people fight with everybody else."
Sam, this is why you need to keep studying vocabulary. :-)

It took me a second to figure out where she'd come up with that definition, but when I realized it, I cracked up. :-)
