Argentina to pay more for Bolivian natural gas

President Nestor Kirchner met his Bolivian counterpart Evo Morales with a bear hug Thursday and then agreed to a 47 percent price hike for the Bolivian natural gas Argentina needs to fuel South America's second-largest economy.

The Bolivians are happy. The Argentines are unhappy.

(By the way, is "Evo" the masculine form of "Eva"? That makes me laugh.)

What!! What is Kirchner thinking? Greet him with a hug and then roll over and play dead while the guy increases gas prices by almost 50%. !!!

Yeah, but at least the Bolivians are happy!
And Kirchner wants to run for re-election--good luck!
