Being surrounded by so many fierce pirates, I was thankful to escape intact! The boys made pirate hats, eye patches, and a pirate flag. They searched for treasure around the yard and played MapTangle after lunch. Note the handy dandy serving utensil in the pretzels. :-) Hee, hee.

I remember the pirate party you had for Matt when we lived on Estrada. I think your treasure chest cake was more impressive than mine; I pretty much wimped out decorating his cake. :-/
Very cool! We enjoyed talking to him last night. I had to laugh when all of a sudden Chris and Jared were talking about getting married! (?) Leave it to Chris to talk about that with a 7-year-old. :)
I didn't hear his side of the conversation, so I can only imagine all the things that he rambled on about. :-) He comes up with some interesting ones.
Well, I had to ask how it came up. I guess Jared said something about a friend of his wanting to marry someone. Chris told him he wouldn't have to worry about that until he was 8. :) But Jared assured him he wasn't going to get married until he was like 20!
Phew! What a relief! I'm glad he's going to wait until he's such an old man
that's what I thought. :)
